Sky Sports F1 broadcasters have suggested Honda’s new power unit for this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix could be worth half-a-second – or even six tenths.

Sky Sports F1’s Johnny Herbert, Paul di Resta, and Simon Lazenby discussed the apparent rumour moments before FP1.

Herbert said the update is a “good indication” for Red Bull, who will run Honda engines in 2019.

Honda Technical Director Toyoharu Tanabe is hoping for a “really strong race in front of our home fans.”
