Toro Rosso has confirmed Daniil Kvyat will make a sensational return to Formula 1 in 2019.

The 24-year-old previously drove for Toro Rosso in the 2014, 2016, and 2017 season, which also included a stint at Red Bull in 2015.

“I now feel stronger and better prepared than when I left Toro Rosso,” Kvyat said.

Toro Rosso Team Principal Franz Tost said Kvyat deserves another shot in Formula 1 because he’s a “highly skilled” driver with “fantastic natural speed.”
