It remains unclear whether Lawrence Stroll has purchased a majority share or the entire Force India F1 team following this morning’s report from Germany’s Auto Bild.
The paper claims the father of Williams driver Lance Stroll has purchased the financially struggling Force India outfit because they’ve shown stronger performance than Williams, who currently lie last in the Constructors Championship.
German Journalist Tobi Gruner said in a tweet on Monday that Force India face going into administration as early as this week.
Force India has been approached for comment on the situation.
