Giovanazzi to appear in Germany FP1

Alfa Romeo Sauber Reserve Driver Antonio Giovanazzi will return to Formula 1 machinery during FP1 for the German Grand Prix, the team has confirmed.

Alfa Romeo Sauber Reserve Driver Antonio Giovanazzi.

Antonio Giovanazzi will make an Formula 1 return during FP1 of this weekend’s German Grand Prix.

The Alfa Romeo Sauber reserve driver will take over Marcus Ericsson’s car for the first ninety-minute practice session of the weekend.

Giovanazzi previously drove for Sauber in two Grand Prix’s during 2017 to replace the injured Pascal Wehrlein.

He has also conducted FP1 practice sessions for Haas F1.
