Red Bull will need a “big step” to get close to Mercedes and Ferrari in the British Grand Prix, says Daniel Ricciardo.
During yesterday’s two ninety-minute practice sessions, Ricciardo could only string together laps quick enough for P4 and P5.
But, the Australian believes Red Bull might still be a chance if they can manage their tyres well in Britain’s unusually hot conditions.
“We really need to understand how to make the tyres go longer and then hopefully we will have a chance on Sunday,” he said.
