Horner could’ve “never imagined” Verstappen victory

Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner says he could’ve “never imagined” Max Verstappen taking victory in the Austrian Grand Prix.

The Dutch driver benefitted from Mercedes’ double-DNF to bring home his first victory of 2018 at the Red Bull Ring.

“All credit to Max today, he drove a very, very mature race, managing a very tricky situation with the tyres,” Horner said following the race.

The team’s day was slightly marred by the retirement of Daniel Ricciardo. who said Red Bull was “looking at a one-two” before a broken exhaust ended his race on lap 54.
